Areola Micropigmentation
Sometimes scarring can cause pronounced hypo pigmentation and sometimes we just want a little cosmetic enhancement of the areola. From making the areola more rosy to fading the edges out a little to even replacing an areola after surgical removal due to breast cancer surgeries or biopsies.
Micropigmentation can replace or enhance color to the skin via small implantations of organic pigment by procedural instrumentation. Nancy Clark uses the soft touch method. Every micropigmentation procedure is custom and performed by hand with one-time-use disposable instruments. In each case the hand method will be used to achieve the best results. Micropigmentation looks natural if applied by a skilled technician. Plus, the use of topical anesthetics before and during your procedure so there is little or no discomfort. Plus there is a vast array of organic pigments to suit your needs, be they cosmetic or reconstructive.
Remember…
- Refrain from alcohol at least 3 days before

your procedure
- Refrain from aspirin at least 1 week before
your procedure
- Refrain from Vitamin E at least 1 week before your procedure
Micropigmentation is not very invasive. The above factors can cause you to have more bleeding during the procedure. Bring Advil or Motrin with you to take as soon as the procedure has been completed. This will allow the over the counter medicine to start working before the topical anesthetics have worn off. I am not allowed to dispense any medicine. Please make sure you bring your own over the counter medicine to take before you drive home after having the micropigmentation procedure.
Apply ointment that will be supplied only. Do not apply gauze to the area, leave it exposed to the air so that it can begin to heal but keep area moist until healing is complete. After ANY Micropigmentation procedure, you should not apply cosmetics over the area and NO PEROXIDE. You will bubble the healing skin and pigment away. If it flakes, let it flake. You will pull pigment right out of the skin resulting in splotchiness. Do NOT expose your new pigmented areolae to direct sunlight, (this means artificial sunlight too). Indoor Tanning machines will fade your fresh cosmetically enhanced skin as well.
I look forward to meeting with you for a complimentary consultation to discuss your cosmetic or reconstructive needs.
